Most “sound boosters” add a virtual device and re-route your audio through it. We do not. The processing registers as an audio effect on your real output device, exactly where Windows runs its own enhancements.

Phones ship with per-model tuning and better codec negotiation. The app puts per-model correction, a parametric EQ and effects inside the Windows audio engine; our driver adds the codec control.
Yes. The processing runs inside the Windows audio engine as an audio effect on your output device, so browsers, players, games and calls all go through it. Exclusive-mode players that bypass the Windows mixer are the one exception. It keeps working after you close the window.
Not with the built-in Bluetooth audio driver, which streams SBC (and AAC on recent builds). LDAC needs a different driver on the PC side. Our own driver supports SBC and LDAC with quality and bitrate control; it is in beta for enthusiasts today, and the signed release for every PC is on the roadmap as a free update. aptX is a licensed codec and is not planned.
